Meet the Creator of Selective Mutism H.E.L.P.
My name is Kelly and I am a parent of a child with Selective Mutism. Our daughter was diagnosed at four years old with a disorder that I had never heard of - Selective Mutism (SM). To us, she was a typically developing child who was a non-stop chatterbox with a wild personality, but to everybody else she was quiet, reserved, lacked expression, and never spoke. To some she even came across as rude, self-absorbed, or developmentally delayed. There have been so many ups and downs in our journey, but they have all led me to this moment - to help you in your journey of understanding SM. I want you to know that I am here for you. I want you to have the resources you need to understand this disorder and to find support and guidance. If you have any questions or need someone to hear your concerns, please use the contact form below. You are not alone and your child will overcome SM!
